Designed for nylon players seeking a quality amplified sound, the Yamaha NX Series NCX1C is an acoustic-electric nylon-string guitar. The single-cutaway body offers a solid western red cedar top, while the back and sides are made either of nato or okoume.
The red cedar top offers a darker tone than other tonewood tops, specifically spruce. The instrument's 25.6" scale nato neck offers a walnut, 19-fret fingerboard and a flat radius. The bridge is fashioned out ebony and walnut.
For electronics, the instrument offers an undersaddle pickup and a 3-band EQ preamp with an onboard tuner. You'll find controls over the EQ as well as volume. The saddle and nut are constructed out of urea, and the soundhole features a mahogany and padauk inlay. A hex wrench and two AA batteries are included.
